Dear fellow angler, prospective fly fisher, and fully fledged fly fisher, my name is Ian Cole and I’d like to introduce you to both my fly fishing school, based here in Wanaka, and my regional guiding service.

I am truly one of the lucky souls to be living here in Wanaka – a small south island town nestled deep in the mountains, about 45minutes drive from Queenstown. Here we have stunning scenery, the sunshine, the Vivaldi four seasons weather and prime fly fishing waters. Numerous rivers and mountain streams together with a host of gin clear lakes and stillwaters make Wanaka a popular fly fishing destination. Here we have an ALL YEAR FISHING SEASON – there is always somewhere we can go fly fish for trout.

Pending on your level of skill, enthusiasm, available time and family/companions commitments A FLY-FISHERS GUIDE, WANAKA FLYFISHING and the WANAKA
FLY FISHING ACADEMY can offer the following services
:

Guided Flyfishing and Fly Fishing Safaris.

Full-day or multi-day adventures. The choice of several lakes, rivers and many mountain streams makes fly fishing around Wanaka a truly amazing New Zealand experience. Our Guided Fly-fishing adventures however are not limited to Wanaka. Fly-Fishing Holidays

As mad-keen life-long anglers ourselves, we understand the needs of non-angling companions and dear ones who, while you're having a great time on the river, may feel a little like the proverbial "fish out of the water." Fortunately, Wanaka is a place for all seasons and a happening town when it comes to art, wine and the multitude of other outdoor activities. There is always plenty of things to do for your non-fishing companions and we can help organise alternative activities for them. Thus, if you base your New Zealand flyfishing holidays in Wanaka you can be assured that both you and your dear ones are in for the time of your lives. So, if flyfishing some of the world's best waters has been your dream, you can make it happen with Wanaka Flyfishing. We pride ourselves in excellence: from the quality of our guiding, tuition and equipment, to the choice of fishing waters and food we offer, you can expect only the best.
